Gold – Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show 2018
Trophy Hunter Boutique Winemakers Show
Pale colour, young and undeveloped, with a dry straw and hay bouquet, tinged with toasted almond. Lemon pith and lemon juice come through more on the palate, where it’s dry and refined, delicately framed and super-intense. A classic Hunter style with richness, power and drive. All of this, without any austerity. This is an excellent semillon that should turn into a smashing wine with more time.
Huon Hooke – Real Review – 94/100
Very pale-yellow green in colour with distinct fresh herbal/cut grass notes on the nose. The plate is fine, linear with intense lime and mineral notes already present. This wine is already showing considerable length with lovely and fine palate weight and already quite complex. A Hunter Semillon built for the long haul.

Wine shows serve to give wine producers an opportunity to have their products benchmarked against those of other producers. Wine shows can be international, national, multi-regional or regional. Some wine shows are specialised and focus on particular varietals, small producers or farming methods (e.g. organic). The Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show is the show we enter the most, as it allows us to see how we are performing relative to similar sized producers in the Hunter Valley. Our Three Ponds Semillon 2018 won a trophy at the 2018 edition of this show.
