Medium yellow colour, bright and translucent. Subtly nutty and yeast-lees aromas, savoury and bright, fresh and the palate is the same, a touch straightforward but it has good intensity and length. The finish refreshes.

The 2018 vintage
Vintage 2018 was the middle of 3 successive drought vintages (2017-2018-2019). The winter and spring of 2017 did see a little rain, meaning the vines were not overly stressed at the time 2018 vintage. The vintage was early and quick and for Mount Eyre Vineyards delivered very smart wines across the board. There was good concentration of flavours and excellent natural acidity. In 2018, our Three Ponds Semillon won a trophy and our Holman Nero D'Avola was rated one the year's top wines by Wine Selectors.
