Three Ponds Chardonnay 2006 is a museum release. A full bodied Hunter Chardonnay demonstrating rich creamy complexity of the French oak. This wine is now smooth and complex, thanks to its maturity in the bottle. However it still retains some freshness and acidity. It will continue to drink well and build in complexity at least until 2030. A wine for lovers of classic chardonnays.

Almost everyone has heard about the exquisite ageing potential of Hunter Semillon. But what about Hunter Chardonnay?! There is certainly great potential for ageing chardonnay too, especially now that Stelvin closures are the standard, eliminating the risk of premature oxidation. With time, Hunter chardonnays take on a wonderful golden hue, with vanilla, melon and cream on the palate. We love nothing better than opening one of our museum chardonnays to enjoy with chicken, asparagus or artichokes.
