Three Ponds Shiraz 2018
- Hunter Valley -
$43.00
Per Bottle
The fruit for this shiraz was sourced entirely from our exclusive Holman Estate vineyard in Pokolbin.
It spent one year in Frenck oak barrels before bottling.
The 2018 vintage was a very good one; the dry weather guaranteed good flavour concentration.
This shiraz is medium bodied. The nose displays leather and black berry. The palate is both fruity and spicy and long.
Excellent to enjoy now but shall age well for at least 15 years.

Making Shiraz
Our fruit may be hand picked or machine harvested, depending on weather conditions. Fermentation is then in open fermenters. Maturation follows in new and old oak barrels, typically French. Some years we also use eastern European oak as well. Bottling is typically after 12-18 months in barrel.
